 Company Profile Oral Williams and Andrea Chang co-founded Orandy Movers and General Services Limited in 1996. We renamed the company in 2007 to Orandy Moving and Storage CO. Ltd to better position the company in the market. We specialize in the provision of high quality moving services island-wide for both residential and commercial clients and secure storage facilities for almost any item. Ten years ago when the company started, our aim was to differentiate ourselves from the competition by placing an emphasis on innovation and customer satisfaction. This commitment worked and our company moved from newcomer to market leader in a very short time. With a commitment to working seven days a week, providing good customer service, a good marketing programme, and excellent staff, our company quickly became a household name in the moving industry in Jamaica. Our emphasis on innovation has also resulted in the company being the only company to possess some specialized moving equipment and to offer some non-traditional complementary services most of which can be found nowhere else in Jamaica. Orandy Moving and Storage Co. Ltd. has the largest moving trucks in Jamaica especially suited for corporate relocations to eliminate unnecessary trips and capitalize on economies of scale which translates into more cost effective pricing for clients. Additionally, OMSC is the only removal company in its industry to possess a stair-climbing forklift with a load capacity of one thousand two hundred pounds (1200lbs). It is the most efficient means of transporting safes and fireproof cabinets up or down stairways in addition to other specialized equipment for similar purposes. In taking the hassle out of moving, we further equip each truck with the requisite staff that are continuously trained and evaluated to be punctual, courteous, well groomed, honest and unlike our competitors are true professionals in their daily execution of their jobs. This was not by accident, as our management team, in order to preserve and enhance the goodwill of Orandy, continually carries out an exhaustive recruitment (each staff undergoes detailed background checks before they are recruited), training and evaluation programme. Our administrative staff also comes qualified and are further trained and cultured in Orandy’s way of service delivery. They are especially aware of the balance, in harmonizing the “before and after sales service” to the customers in order to give maximum customer service that is so sadly lacking within the industry. Orandy is customer focused, and as such, each customer is asked to fill out a customer satisfaction questionnaire after each job, so as to continuously measure our service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction at all times. Out of our emphasis on innovation, our storage facility was built in 2005 and today we are the only storage facility to provide insurance coverage at no extra charge to our clients. Commercial Relocation Usually, we will come in and meet with the move coordinator who would provide us with information, which would be used to prepare an estimate. Once chosen we assign a moving consultant who guides the client step by step in the premove preparations. Additionally, all requirement for a successful and hassle free move is provided; labels, boxes/bins, equipment for the carriage of fragile or heavy pieces, written moving guidelines etc. |
